  • If you are considering a trip, especially a vacation, and debating whether it’s worth it to get a travel agent involved, my advice is: Just Do It. And if you can get Robin at Lynden Travel Company, you can leave the stress of travel behind and just travel.
    Robin is accommodating, professional, super nice to deal with, detail-oriented, and has been in the biz long enough to know all the bases that need to be covered. She also has just the right amount of OCD to make sure it all gets done. In the end, she will give you a slim folder that has every step of the trip typed up–in sequence–and all you have to do is turn from one page to the next and follow the steps.
    Next time you are traveling, give yourself a break: call Robin. If you’re planning a vacation, make it a vacation right from the start. If you have a business trip, focus on your business. If you are visiting family, try meditating. I literally cannot recommend her highly enough! – Deb G.
  • Robin was a true superstar. I feel so lucky I found her as a travel agent. Getting online to find a good safari package to Africa is overwhelming!! It would have been more expensive on my own and I would not have had the same confidence and security that Robin provided. She was able to vet out the best and most affordable adventure that truly resulted in a first class experience. I took my 15 year old daughter for a 2 week African safari and island experience and every day was memorable. Robin also helped us find reasonable and the most direct plane tickets. And her insider access saved us on a last minute mistake by the airlines.   • Robin Gilster is as responsive & professional as they come. She planned a 7-week holiday which took me from my home near Seattle, WA to Paris, France, & on to a Greek island, Spetses, my former home. Robin kept me informed every step of the way as she planned my trip. She researched multiple options & presented them all to me, including pros & cons, & awaited my responses before making a move. When the airlines made changes to my flights, she alerted me immediately. She always had my concerns at top of mind…she made sure the location in which I stayed was exactly where I wanted to be. I like to work with people who get right back to me when I ask questions; with people who read my e-mails carefully and actually answer my questions directly & clearly. Robin was just a pleasure to work with. We never even met in person — that’s how professional she is, how seriously she looks after her clients.   • My experience began with Robin at Lynden Travel in early 2019 when she assisted me with a cruise to Alaska. It was all very exciting until Covid hit. The cruise was first delayed in 2020. We were hopeful that I could go on the cruise this year (2021), but when the Canadian border was closed, we waited to hear every month what the status of the border closure was, it has still remained closed, and the earliest date to open was in November. My cruise was in July, so I cancelled. Even though Robin did not receive any compensation for all of the “legwork” she did for me, she is still trying to get me the refund I requested. She checks on me and has told me that if I plan a cruise again, she would be happy to help me. I would highly recommend her at Lynden Travel. – Karen Y.

I decided to go with Lynden Travel and was very happy with that decision.   • Do not try to book a cruise by yourself. You need a great agent, like Robin, that knows all the ins and out of cruising. You will be way better organized and will probably get some perks. – Nina D.

  • Where do I start ? I have known Robin for several years now. I do all my international travel through her. she planned my first trip to Europe going to London and Paris. What I loved was it she gave me options and did not pressure me to pick one over the other. We were there over Christmas and New Year’s and it was a vacation we will never forget.
    Fast forward two years later, we decided to take a bigger vacation and a lot longer to Spain and Italy. There was four of us coming from three different places. she was there every step of the way even when they lost my brother-in-laws luggage. She was able to rebook us when the tour company changed our tour time in Rome . She also booked the most fantastic gift that I could have given my husband and that was to be able to race in a Ferrari. When our flight was delayed in Barcelona she was able to advise us on what to do. She booked us on memory making excursions that I would never have been able to find on my own.
    I recommend her to everyone that I know, and will not use anyone. we might be two thousand miles away and two time zones away but she is always on top of everything. No question is ever too small for her to answer for me. thank you Robin for helping me create memories with my family. – Liza A.
